Spearheaded by bandleader and bassist Levi Brown, The Smokin’ Section is a powerhouse ensemble known for their electrifying live performances at some of Columbus’ most beloved venues, including Woodlands Tavern, Summit Music Hall, Natalie’s Grandview, Ginger Rabbit Jazz Club, and the Basement. The band is well known for its unique approach to shows whether collaborating with underground hip hop legends like Illogic, recording a live album with rapper OG Vern, or bringing to life exciting tributes to a diverse menu of artists such as Jerry Garcia, Herbie Hancock, Dr. John, and Lettuce!
