Gahanna's Juneteenth celebration returns for its second year, honoring African American history and culture with an evening of music, dance, spoken word, and community — and opening the door wider for neighbors of every background to join us.
Program Highlights:
- The Game Spot (5:30 p.m.): Kick off the evening early with spades, dominoes, bid whist, yard games, and more. You say you can play? Prove it!
- Libation ceremony & African drumming to honor the ancestors and those who paved the way, accompanied by the power and rhythm of African drumming
- Dance Performances by Dance Elite Performance Academy and the Gahanna Lincoln High School Lionettes
- Spoken Word by Valerie Boyer
- Musical Performances by Violinist Stephen Stringz
- Opening Act: Vocal trio Harmony
- Headliner: Eric Rollin & Friends performing The Ego Scout Live
