What You Should Know for the Creekside Blues and Jazz Festival:

The 2021 Creekside Blues & Jazz Festival is September 17-19, 2021. 



An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, senior citizens and guests with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable. By attending Creekside Blues & Jazz Festival, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.


While we will continually update this section of our website, please make sure that you have reviewed any advisories or restrictions that may be in Ohio on September 17-19, 2021. Visit for information. By entering Creekside Blues & Jazz Festival, you are confirming that you and all persons in your party:

Are not experiencing any of the following symptoms of COVID-19 identified by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention at, including:

  • Fever or chills
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • Fatigue
  • Muscle or body aches
  • Headache
  • New loss of taste or smell
  • Sore throat 
  • Congestion or runny nose
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Diarrhea
  • Have not been in contact with someone with confirmed or suspected COVID-19 symptoms without completing a 14-day quarantine
  • Are not under any self-quarantine orders

Fans who cannot confirm all of the above criteria are forbidden to enter Creekside Blues & Jazz Festival grounds. If at any point during the festival weekend, you do not meet all of the above criteria, you and your party will be asked to leave the festival and property. By entering the Creekside Blues & Jazz Festival, you acknowledge that you understand and will abide by the above health-and-safety requirements

1. How do artists/bands and vendors become part of the 2021 Festival?  

The application period for Bands/Artists to perform in the 2021 Festival will be open August 1, 2020-November 1, 2020. Any materials submitted after that date will not be considered. To be considered as a performer for the 2021 Creekside Blues & Jazz Festival, artists should email their EPK between August 1-November 1, 2020 to info (a) Any materials submitted outside of this time period will not be considered. 

2. Where can I get a map of the Festival grounds?

You are be able to download a version of the Festival grounds map here.  Printed maps with full stage schedules, lists of vendors and all other event details will be available at the gates. 

3. Is there an admission fee for the Festival?

Yes. Tickets are required for admittance to the Festival, which is located at 117 Mill St. in Gahanna OH 43230.  The admission fee includes access to multiple stages featuring outstanding live music, as well as access to quality artisans and festival food! Children under age 4 and military personnel/veterans (with a military ID) will be admitted free. Tickets are available at admission gates on the days of the festival. However, we highly encourage you to purchase them ahead of time. 

4. What are the Festival hours and where is it located? 

5-11 pm Friday; 2 pm-11 pm Saturday; and 12-5 pm Sunday. The gates will open one hour prior to the start time. The festival is located at Creekside Gahanna: 117 Mill St. in Gahanna OH 43230. 

5.  Can I exit and re-enter the Festival later in the day?

Yes.  Same day re-entry to the Festival is available for attendees wearing that day's accepted admission wristband.  

6.  Can I bring a cooler?

No.  Outside coolers are NOT permitted inside the entrance gates. Beer, soft drinks & water are available for purchase throughout the main Festival area.  

7.  Are pets allowed at the Festival?

Other than service animals, no pets of any kind are permitted at the Festival. 

8.  Is parking available?

9.  Is the event accessible to people with disabilities?

Yes.  The Festival offers handicap-accessible shuttles at the Free Park & Ride shuttle located at AEP Ohio (700 Morrison Rd.)  Limited handicap parking also is available in the Creekside Garage. (Parking fee per car; plus Festival admission will be charged upon entry to garage.)

Although the Festival primarily is located on the streets of downtown Gahanna, with some festival offerings are located in Creekside Park.  Keep in mind that these areas will include some grassy areas and inclines, though the areas are accessible via sidewalks, streets and paved trails. 

10.   Are there ATMs available?

Yes, there is a permanent ATM onsite at Creekside Plaza.

11.  How do I get to the event?

The Creekside Blues & Jazz Festival is located in downtown Gahanna, just outside the I-270 outer belt which surrounds Columbus.  Find additional information in the Parking & Directions section of our website. The physical address is:

12.  Will there be a Family Fun Zone in 2021?

There will not be a Family Fun Zone at CBJF this year.

14.  Any tips on preparation for a day at the Creekside Blues & Jazz Festival?

The summer weather in central Ohio can range from pleasantly warm to sunny and hot.  Therefore, cool, unrestrictive clothing, sunglasses and sunscreen are recommended. A hat with a wide brim or visor is also a good idea. Wear comfortable shoes, as you may be doing a lot of walking and remember to stay hydrated.  Beverages are available for purchase throughout the event. 

15.  Can I bring a chair?

Yes.  Although limited hard-covered folding chairs are provided at the Blues and Jazz Stages, you are welcome, and encouraged, to bring your own folding chair.  No umbrellas please. 

16. How do I volunteer?

Volunteers are needed for all aspects of the Festival: set-up and tear-down, beverages, admission, musician assistants and more. Volunteer sign ups are here!
