Whether freelancing as jazz, gospel, R&B, pop keyboardist or simply accompanying a soloist, Christopher Brown seems to be right at home in his musical world. Based in his hometown of Columbus, Ohio, Chris has played on many different stages with various artists since the age of 13 years old. Growing up in church with the gospel tradition, he began on trumpet and drums. While in church, he began to take an interest in Hammond organ. Chris has shared the stage with artists of nearly every genre including Harmony Project, Dr. E., Frederic Yonnet, Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson, Dave Chappelle, Common, A Tribe Called Quest, Steve Cole, Ragan Whiteside, Marcus Anderson, Wess “Warmdaddy” Anderson, Althea Rene, Trevor Lawrence, Jeanette Harris, Paul Taylor, Hadden Sayers, and many others. Chris has enjoyed the privilege to play organ and keyboards with the mighty Harmony Project Orchestra since 2012 and was fortunate to help arrange one season.
