What You Should Know for the Creekside Blues and Jazz Festival:

The 2020 Creekside Blues & Jazz Festival (previously scheduled for June 19-21) has been cancelled. Out of concern for public health and safety in light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Visit Gahanna and the City of Gahanna jointly have made the decision to cancel the 2020 event.  Read the press release for more information. 
 

1. How do artists/bands and vendors become part of the 2021 Festival?  

The application period for Bands/Artists to perform in the 2021 Festival will be open August 1, 2020-November 1, 2020. Any materials submitted after that date will not be considered. To be considered as a performer for the 2021 Creekside Blues & Jazz Festival, artists should email their EPK between August 1-November 1, 2020 to info (a) creeksidebluesandjazz.com. Any materials submitted outside of this time period will not be considered. 

2. Where can I get a map of the Festival grounds?

You will be able to download a version of the Festival grounds map a few weeks prior to the event.   Printed maps with full stage schedules, lists of vendors and all other event details will be available at the gates. 

3. Is there an admission fee for the Festival?

Yes. Tickets are required for admittance to the Festival, which is located at 117 Mill St. in Gahanna OH 43230.  The admission fee includes access to 5 stages featuring 90+ total hours of outstanding live music, the Giant Eagle Family Fun Zone, as well as access to quality artisans and festival food!  The event is family-focused. Children under age 4 and military personnel/veterans (with a military ID) will be admitted free. The Festival offers FREE admission on Saturday (11 am-12 noon) with a canned meat donation (Salmon, Tuna, etc.) for Gahanna Residents in Need (GRIN). Free admission also will be available on Sunday (11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.), for each person who donates a travel-size personal care item for Gahanna Neighborhood Bridges.   

Note: NEW THIS YEAR--Guests will need to purchase a Festival admission ticket to gain access to the Amusement area. (This area will be gated).  Admission tickets do NOT include ride tickets or wristbands. Those will require a separate purchase. 

4. What are the Festival hours and where is it located? 

5-11 pm Friday; 11 am-11 pm Saturday; and 12-6 pm Sunday. The festival is located at Creekside Gahanna: 117 Mill St. in Gahanna OH 43230. 

5.  Can I exit and re-enter the Festival later in the day?

Yes.  Same day re-entry to the Festival is available for attendees wearing that day’s accepted admission wristband.  

6.  Can I bring a cooler?

No.  Outside coolers are NOT permitted inside the entrance gates. Beer, soft drinks & water are available for purchase throughout the main Festival area.  

7.  Are pets allowed at the Festival?

Other than service animals, no pets of any kind are permitted at the Festival. 

8.  Is parking available?

9.  Is the event accessible to people with disabilities?

Yes.  The Festival offers handicap-accessible shuttles at the Free Park & Ride shuttle located at AEP Ohio (700 Morrison Rd.)  Limited handicap parking also is available in the Creekside Garage. (Parking fee per car; plus Festival admission will be charged upon entry to garage.)

Although the Festival primarily is located on the streets of downtown Gahanna, some festival offerings are located in Creekside Park as well as in VFW Memorial Park.  Keep in mind that these areas will include some grassy areas and inclines, though the areas are accessible via sidewalks, streets and paved trails. 

10.  Are there activities for children? 

Plenty of fun for kids will be offered at the Giant Eagle Family Fun Zone on Saturday and Sunday of the Festival, located near the Amusement area, on the south side of the Granville Street.  Kids can enjoy “make it and take it” arts and crafts, visit a petting zoo, watch jugglers and balloon artists, and have fun with activities offered by local businesses. Visitors do not have to pay admission to the Festival to enjoy the activities in the Giant Eagle Family Fun Zone.

AMUSEMENT RIDES are available throughout the weekend at VFW Memorial Park (south of Granville St.). Note: NEW THIS YEAR--Guests will need to purchase a Festival admission ticket to gain access to the Amusement area. (This area will be gated).  Admission tickets do NOT include ride tickets or wristbands. Those will require a separate purchase. 

11.   Are there ATMs available?

Yes, there is a permanent ATM onsite at Creekside Plaza and four temporary ATMs located throughout the Festival:  inside the North Mill St. admission gate; inside the South Mill St. admission gate; inside the High St. admission gate; and in the Family Fun Zone (south of Granville St., VFW Memorial Park).   

12.  How do I get to the event?

The Creekside Blues & Jazz Festival is located in downtown Gahanna, just outside the I-270 outer belt which surrounds Columbus.  Find additional information in the Parking & Directions section of our website. The physical address is:

14.  Any tips on preparation for a day at the Creekside Blues & Jazz Festival?

The summer weather in central Ohio can range from pleasantly warm to sunny and hot.  Therefore, cool, unrestrictive clothing, sunglasses and sunscreen are recommended. A hat with a wide brim or visor is also a good idea. Wear comfortable shoes, as you may be doing a lot of walking and remember to stay hydrated.  Beverages are available for purchase throughout the event. 

15.  Can I bring a chair?

Yes.  Although hard-covered folding chairs are provided at each stage, you are welcome to bring your own folding chair.  No umbrellas please. 

16. How do I volunteer?
